What Can You Give People at a Conference or Event?
Choosing gifts for a conference, corporate event, alumni gathering or other large event can be surprisingly difficult. You may need something useful, affordable and easy to distribute to 50, 100 or even several hundred people. You may also want it to reflect your organization, avoid disposable plastic and, increasingly, have a social or environmental purpose.
There is no single answer. The right event gift depends on your budget, the number of people, the occasion and what you want the gift to say about your organisation.

But useful gifts do not have to stop there. If you are organizing an event: you do not necessarily have to choose from a fixed corporate-gift catalogue. Customized gifts can make an event more memorable
Sometimes an organization wants something connected to its own identity rather than a standard promotional item. For example, MESH has worked with a college alumni group to produce a collection of items using the college's colours and logo. These included luggage tags, bags, phone stands, a jigsaw based on the college and a calendar made from seeded paper with art work from the members that could be planted after use.
For another customer, MESH supplied small papier-mâché trinket boxes and coasters complete with an sticker naming the event.
These examples show the range of possibilities. A customized event gift does not necessarily mean starting with an elaborate new product. Sometimes a simple useful item can be adapted to make it specific to your organization.
